Maintenance Grant

  • You do not have to pay this money back, it is a grant to help with your living costs.
  • The amount you receive depends on your household income.
  • It is paid directly into your bank account in three equal amounts throughout the year.

  • If you receive the Special Support Grant you will not be eligible for this grant as well.

  • You can use the Uniaid Student Calculator to work out your entitlement. The calculator asks you for details about your financial circumstances, and gives you an estimate of how much Maintenance Grant and loan you might receive. It also helps you work out how much everything will cost.

2008/9

If you start your course in 2008 and your household income is below £60,000 per year, you will receive some of the Maintenance Grant.
