Full-time Honours degree courses

If you study on an NHS-funded degree course, you will benefit from the following financial help:

  • Tuition fees paid in full
  • A means-tested NHS bursary of up to £2,810 per year*
  • A partial Maintenance Loan through Student Finance England

(This help replaces the Maintenance Grant and Tuition Fee Loan from the government).

Diploma of Higher Education courses

If you study on an NHS-funded Diploma of Higher Education (for example, a Nursing DipHE), you will benefit from the following financial help:

  • Tuition fees paid in full
  • A non means-tested NHS bursary of up to £6,701 per year*

(This help replaces the Maintenance Loan, Maintenance Grant and Tuition Fee Loan from the government).

 

*The financial support mentioned in these pages is for the 2009/10 academic year and is subject to eligibility.

Students on NHS-funded courses are not eligible for Tuition Fee Loans or Maintenance Grants as financial support is provided in other ways.
